Julianne Moore Starts SAG Awards Acceptance Speech with 'As the World Turns' Story

Julianne Moore
Still Alice star Julianne Moore won for outstanding performance by a female actor in a leading role at Sunday's Screen Actors Guild Awards. Moore gave a shout-out to her early days on the soap opera As the World Turns, where she won a Daytime Emmy Award for her the dual role of Frannie and Sabrina.

"When I was on As the World Turns," Moore said to cheers from the audience, "I was so excited when they wrote two parts for me, the classic twin sister role, the good and the evil one ... and then I realized it was super boring to act by myself. And what I really loved, what I really craved, was being with another actor."

Moore starred on ATWT from 1985 to 1988 and returned in the show's final year on the air (2010).
