TNT Cancels 'Dallas'
TNT has canceled Dallas after three seasons on the network.
"We are extremely proud of the series, which defied expectations by standing as a worthy continuation of the Ewing saga," a TNT spokesperson said. "We want to thank everyone involved with the show, from the extraordinary cast to the impeccable production team, led by the show's creative forces, Cynthia Cidre and Mike Robin. We especially want to thank the people of Dallas for their warm and generous hospitality during the production of the series."
In the recent season finale, Christopher was murdered and a secret daughter that J.R. fathered was revealed.

This is very sad news. It was a excellent continuation of a beloved series. I wish the remaining daytime soaps would learn the lessons of creating compelling, soapy, serialized drama. I
ReplyDeleteOh, and the daughter JR fathered was not a secret. Callie left town pregnant and I was pretty sure everyone knew, including JR.
Cally had a son. JR went to Florida to see him but saw that Cally was happy with her life and decided to let her be. JR's daughter wasn't that child. The mother, who is dead, must have been connected in a way that would help John Ross get the company back.
Delete^^ Thanks! I must have misremembered. Well dang! It really sucks DALLAS was cancelled!
DeleteIt has bugged me that TNT's Dallas didn't really acknowledge James. Cally came for JR's funeral but that was a very brief cameo. I had to rewatch the episode with Cally's son because I didn't remember. My guess is JR had a daughter with Katherine Wentworth.
DeleteBummer. This Really Stinks. Yuck!
