1986: On Days of our Lives, Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Roman (Drake Hogestyn) renewed their wedding vows. Tamara (Marilyn McCoo) sang their song, "Up Where We Belong," during the ceremony.
"Up Where We Belong" was sung at Roman and Marlena's first wedding in 1984 by Doug (Bill Hayes), when Wayne Northrop was in his first run as the original Roman. Josh Taylor played their friend Chris Kositchek, one of Roman's groomsmen in the ceremony. Eventually Hogestyn was revealed to be John Black when Northrup returned as Roman. Northrop left the show again then returned later as a totally different character, Alex North. Taylor left DAYS and returned a decade later in 1997 as the new Roman.

That's Lauren singing with Danny, not Traci. Lauren's name even appears in the credits at the end of the video.
ReplyDeleteThat's why the lead sentence says, "On The Young and the Restless, Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) and Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) took center stage to rock the house at Genoa City's "It's OK to Say No" benefit concert." The other concert performers who appeared in this special episode are mentioned for historical purposes, but are not seen in this particular clip.
DeleteTwo thoughts on the 1986 "Days Of Our Lives" clip:
ReplyDelete1. Marilyn McCoo has a gorgeous voice!
2. It looks like a craft store exploded on Deidre Hall's head.
