Alison Sweeney Returning to 'Days of our Lives' as a Director

Alison Sweeney, who wrapped up shooting her 21-year run as Days of our Lives' Sami Brady in May, is returning to the soap, but this time will direct an episode.

Sweeney shared this photo on Twitter, with the caption: "Aww! It's like going home. So happy 2 b back in Salem - directing! Love visiting my peeps. @laurenkoslow @DeidreHall."

Since Days tapes so far in advance, Sweeney continues to air as Sami.

Sweeney recently directed an episode of General Hospital, and has been invited to direct there again as well.

    The only reason I watch Days of our lives is for Sammi and EJ.So when their last episode shows I think I will be done watching, and I belive that their ratings are going to drop because of that fact people tune in just for Sammi and EJ, please bring EJ back.
