One Year Later: Corbin Bernsen on the Death of His Mom, 'The Young and the Restless' Star Jeanne Cooper
"Twelve months later, I'm still grieving for her. This is my year of turning 60. My series, Psych, ended after eight years, which was my stability. I could really use her help going into this third act of my life."

"I got a wonderful note from [Y&R associate producer] Josh O'Connell telling me that the special tribute episode the show did for my mom has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy, and that just feels so incredible! So does going back once again to play Father Todd. This time I'm doing four episodes, working with Doug Davidson [Paul] and Lauralee Bell [Christine], which my mom would have loved. She adored them."

'All My Children' alum Finn Wittrock to lead 'My All American' film
Wittrock, who appears in the upcoming HBO film adaptation of Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart, will portray football player Freddie Steinmark, whose career ended following a cancer diagnosis that resulted in the loss of his leg. ABC's 'Nashville' is an example of how traditional TV 'bubble' rules don't apply
"I'm a combination of optimistic and emotionally vulnerable," Charles Esten, who portrays Deacon Claybourne, the musical and former romantic partner to fictional country star Rayna James (Connie Britton), said before Tuesday's concert. "Everyone seems to be coming to a nice peak right now."

Nashville adds to its audience more this way than most ABC shows, said Kevin Beggs, chairman of Lionsgate Television Group, the show's producer.

ABC's parent Walt Disney Co. shares in ancillary revenue from CDs of music featured on Nashville (the fourth collection was released Tuesday) and the concert tour. More than 600,000 soundtrack CDs have been sold, according to Big Machine Label Group. A special collection of tunes from the show's April 23 performance special was immediately made available on iTunes and was among the top five country albums two weeks later.

Coronation Street' actress Kym Marsh blasted by health charity for smoking with teen daughter

The Kerry Washington revolution
Series starring African-American actresses is a big trend next season. Chalk it up to the popularity of ABC's Scandal and the visibility of its glamorous star Kerry Washington or maybe a bolt of lightning that suddenly hit Hollywood after Octavia Spencer and Viola Davis got Oscar nominations in the same year for The Help (Spencer won, for Best Supporting Actress). Any way you look at it, sisterhood is powerful.

The Faustian Bargain of Television: Be widely watched and scarcely acknowledged, or be widely praised and scarcely watched.

Ten years later, the 'Lost' creators talk about their mistakes, their successes, the worst episode, and why we're all still talking about this damn show
Damon Lindelof: "We did 121 hours of Lost. Arguably only 15 to 20 of them were subpar, bordering on turds. It would be great to pretend those episodes never happened, but I love the fact that we're still talking about Nikki and Paulo. Sometimes the mistake, the thing that wasn't good, is the thing that's really part of the legacy of a show like ours."

How a Conservative Catholic Girl Became a Producer on Gay Web Series 'EastSiders'
"I tell people that my favorite part about the message of EastSiders is that it doesn’t take a stance one way or the other on LGBT rights. The relationships just exist without any grandeur or attention to the fact that it’s a gay relationship. It’s a loving relationship, and it just happens to be between two men."
