CORONATION STREET's William Roache tells court it is ‘against my nature’ to rape
Roache told detectives it was "against my nature" to commit rape, a jury has heard. Roache is currently standing trial at Preston Crown Court over historical sexual offense allegations. Amazon says it is not planning pay-TV service
The Wall Street Journal reported earlier on Tuesday that the world's largest Internet retailer was considering a new service that would offer live TV channels, like the ones now available through cable and satellite.

Amazon approached at least three big media conglomerates seeking rights to distribute their TV channels online, the Journal added, citing unidentified people familiar with the matter. Bloomberg News reported similar plans by Amazon on Tuesday.

However, Amazon spokesman Drew Herdener rebuffed the reports.

"We continue to build selection for Prime Instant Video and create original shows at Amazon Studios, but we are not planning to license television channels or offer a pay-TV service," Herdener wrote in an email to USA Today.

Daytime Emmys Update: It's Going to Be a Real Race With ALL MY CHILDREN and ONE LIFE TO LIVE
"Our entry deadline was last Friday, Jan. 17, and we've had a lot of great submissions from AMC and OLTL — in fact, we've set an extreme record for the number of entries this year," NATAS senior executive director David Michaels tells TV Guide Magazine. "From the look of Prospect Park's submissions, I think they'll give the four network soaps a real run for their money when it comes to production values and the quality of the writing, directing and acting."

Jesse L. Martin To Co-Star in CW Pilot THE FLASH
The project, from Warner Bros TV and Berlanti Productions, is an origin story about Barry Allen aka The Flash (Grant Gustin), a Central City assistant police forensics investigator who arrives in Starling to look into a series of unexplained robberies that may have a connection to a tragedy in his past. Martin will play Detective West, an honest, blue-collar cop who is a surrogate father to Allen.

My Food Diary: THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL's Jacqueline M. Wood Shares Her Typical Diet
"My food goal this year is to cut back on my dairy intake. I don’t want to completely cut it out (because I love dairy and all things in moderation), but I want to minimize how much I consume."

Joanna Johnson may return to THE BOLD AND THE BEUATIFUL
Johnson told TV writers here there has been talk of bringing back her Karen Spencer character on B&B. She'd probably do it, too, she said, even though she now writes and produces ABC Family's THE FOSTERS.

"This is more than a full-time job," she said. "But I really do like going back."

Nathan Parsons sinks teeth into juicy recurring role on THE ORIGINALS
Parsons (GENERAL HOSPITAL, BUNHEADS) will debut in episode 13 (Feb. 4) as Jackson, one of Haley's werewolf acquaintances. He has the underlying ruggedness of a werewolf raised in the Bayou, but he's magnetic, smart and strong-willed -- the natural trusted leader of his pack.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES alum Mark Hapka has landed the lead role in PARALLELS, a sci-fi series from Fox Digital Studio
Hapka plays Ronan Carver, a street-smart underground MMA fighter who has been estranged from his family since he was 16 and suddenly finds himself forced to confront his sister and his past in an adventure through parallel universes. Jessica Rothe, Eric Jungmann, Constance Wu, Yorgo Constantine and Michael Monks also have joined the cast of the series from writer-director Christopher Leone.
