"Bringing PaleyFest to New York City after 30 incredibly successful years in LA is a dream realized for the Paley Center and we could find no better partner than the New York City Mayor's Office of Media & Entertainment to highlight the amazing breadth of media produced in the City," said Pat Mitchell, President & CEO of The Paley Center for Media. "The Paley Center's mission to lead and curate the discussion about the importance of media will bring television fans unparalleled access to the hottest, most talked about shows on the air and foster a greater understanding of how these shows are created, cast, and delivered."
"New York City has truly become a TV town in recent years with more primetime episodic series filming on our streets than ever before," said Katherine Oliver, Commissioner of the Mayor's Office of Media & Entertainment. "Working with the Paley Center to celebrate the 'Made in NY' series that call New York City home is the perfect way to kick off a season of new dramas and comedies and highlight the thousands of New Yorkers who make their living working in the local film and television industry."
Panel conversations will be streamed live globally during each program at paleycenter.org/live. Viewers are invited to follow the conversation and submit questions on Twitter @paleycenter using the hash tag #PaleyFest.
Additionally, the Paley Center and the Mayor's Office of Media & Entertainment will present different events focused on educating the public about career opportunities in media in NYC. These events will be free and open to the public; additional details will be announced shortly.
Tickets for PaleyFest: Made in NY go on sale to Paley Center members on Wednesday, September 4th and to the general public on Friday, September 6th. Stay tuned for additional announcements about events and talent.
