NBC App Re-Launches with New iOS 7 Update, Focus on Full Episode Video Content

NBC is re-launching its app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch with a focus on full episode video content, it was announced today by Robert Hayes, Executive Vice President Digital, NBC Entertainment. The new app has been optimized to leverage Apple's new iOS 7 operating system, enabling NBC to create a dynamic new interface and a more visually streamlined user experience. The new NBC app will be the foundation for NBC's TV Everywhere offering, which is slated to launch in 2014, making quality on demand and live content available to verified cable/satellite/telco customers, both in and out of the home and on multiple platforms.

"Our new NBC App seamlessly integrates the feel and technology of iOS 7 with exciting full episode content that our viewers will love," said Hayes. "With this enhanced app, we also hope to bring more viewers to the network by giving them more ways to interact with their favorite shows."

The app's video content includes full episodes of new and returning favorites, including America's Got Talent," "Parks and Recreation," "Chicago Fire" and "Parenthood." Viewers will also be able to preview pilots of two new fall shows: "Ironside" and "Welcome to the Family."

The new design features a clean, immersive and image-driven experience with an animated interface to enhance content exploration. Some additional features of the new app include an intuitive network on-air schedule and social media tie-ins for Facebook and Twitter.

  1. I am a fan of apps that has timely updates. As we go on to update our respective OS, many apps start to crash or malfunction. There are some that take weeks to update and that is prone to deletion 'cause it just take memory space.
