Another GENERAL HOSPITAL novel from Molly

EASTENDERS Slumps to 4.8 Million Viewers - But BBC Says it will Rise Again
The slump put it below EMMERDALE's 5.1 million viewers on Tuesday, which it was suddenly up against when broadcast was delayed to allow coverage of Kate Middleton and Prince William introducing Prince George to the world outside St Mary's Hospital in London. One show insider told the Sun: "All the soaps are struggling at the moment."

The ratings woes follow announcements that a number of well-known past favorites would be making dramatic comebacks. Barbara Windsor is returning to Albert Square to reprise her role as the pint-sized Mitchell matriarch for a one-off appearance in the autumn. Her return to Albert Square will coincide with Samantha Womack reprising her role as baby-snatcher Ronnie Mitchell and Michael French returning as womanizer David Wicks. Executive are also planning a spectacular £1m car crash which will leave Phil Mitchell fighting for his life.

"We got seven million on Monday. We're not worried - there are some huge storylines planned for the autumn," said the source.

How BET's THE GAME Launched a Legal War Over a Facebook Page
The woman who has been credited with promoting the second-most-watched program in BET’s history filed a lawsuit after an intriguing two-year social-media battle.

Mattocks said she first created a fan page on Facebook in 2008, and by the time BET picked up the show, it had 750,000 "likes." As BET prepared to debut the show, the Facebook page helped create "buzz," and grew at approximately 100,000 likes per week.

For her work, Mattocks says that BET agreed to pay her $30 per hour to work as a social media "freelancer." But the network wanted more.

"BET was searching for a more 'permanent' way to capitalize on the FB Page and Mattocks' efforts," says the lawsuit. "Therefore, on December 15, 2010, BET submitted a proposed contract to Mattocks that would have paid her a maximum of $85,000.00 over a one year period. Mattocks declined this offer because it was unreasonably low, would have stripped her of all rights to the FB Page, and, moreover, could have been terminated at any point by BET, with or without cause."

Shirley Jones offers naked truth in new book "Shirley Jones"
"So bring out the smelling salts, hang on to your hats, and get ready for the surprise of your lives!" she writes, coyly, in the book's introduction. It's not false advertising.

A substantial part of the book is spent on her troubled marriage to the late Jack Cassidy, the glossily handsome actor and singer whom she describes in a passage as her first lover and "sexual Svengali," and whose lessons she shares candidly.

That includes — X-rated spoiler alert — Cassidy's impressive endowment, Jones' own "highly sexed" nature that made orgasms a breeze, their threesome with another woman ("yuck," she says, when asked about the onetime experiment), Cassidy's pre-marital sexual encounter with Cole Porter that Jones says left her unfazed, and her apparent tolerance for his infidelities.

Is Matt Smith leaving DOCTOR WHO a huge mistake?
“I feel very proud to be a part of such a wonderful legacy,” Smith said Thursday at the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills. “The thing about Doctor Who is he always looks forward. The show will get bigger and better and carry on without me … we shoot 19 months a year, the show has come to a natural tipping point … it’s at the top of a cycle … it’s a good time of me and the show … it was a hard choice. I’ll miss it.”
