CBS: All Daytime Shows Finish The Season With Year-To-Year Growth In Viewers

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, LET'S MAKE A DEAL, THE PRICE IS RIGHT and THE TALK all finished the 2012-2013 season and May sweep with year-to-year growth in viewers.

Compared to last season in viewers, LET'S MAKE A DEAL 1 was up +14% (2.69m from 2.36m), LET'S MAKE A DEAL 2 was up +13% (3.11m from 2.76m), THE PRICE IS RIGHT 1 was up +5% (4.48m from 4.27m), THE PRICE IS RIGHT 2 was also up +5% (5.33m from 5.08m), THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL posted an +8% gain (3.51m from 3.25m), THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS was up +0.5% (4.82m from 4.80m) while THE TALK posted growth of +10% (2.40m from 2.18m), according to Nielsen most current ratings.

Among key women demographics for the season, LET'S MAKE A DEAL 1 & 2 were up in both women 25-54 (+13%, +25% respectively) and women 18-49 (+17%, +14% respectively), THE PRICE IS RIGHT 2 gained +8% in women 25-55 while THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL was up +7% in women 25-54.

In the May sweep according to Nielsen live plus day ratings, CBS's daytime lineup posted increases in viewers and/or key women demographics.

  1. Well now, I guess that's why nobody noticed when I stopped watching "The Talk" after they fired Leah and Holly, cuz apparently I'm just too old for their beloved and ageist demographics! Regardless, count me as one "less" - viewer of that particular show.
