1958: On THE EDGE OF NIGHT, Mike (John Larkin) warned Toni of the danger if she tried to get hush money from Benson.

1967: On DARK SHADOWS, Sam (David Ford) accused Laura (Diana Millay) of causing the fire.

1973: On ANOTHER WORLD, Louise (Anne Meacham) eavesdropped when Alice (Jacqueline Courtney) phoned Mary and Jim to have her things removed from Steve's house and shipped to her.

1978: ONE LIFE TO LIVE and GENERAL HOSPITAL each expanded to from 45 to 60 minutes per day.

1981: Wesley Eure aired for the final time as Mike Horton in DAYS OF OUR LIVES.  Read our interview with Eure here.

1985: On GUIDING LIGHT, Tony (Greg Beecroft) suggested leaving Springfield to Annabelle (Harley Kozak).

1992: On THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, Scott opened up to Lauren (Tracey Bregman) about his marriage to Sheila.

1996: On ALL MY CHILDREN, Scott (Shane McDermott) was upset with Kevin (Ben Jorgensen) over Anita and Bobby.

Actress Rita Lloyd was born on this day in 1930.  She played a number of memorable daytime soap opera roles including Lucille Wexler on GUIDING LIGHT, Millicent Whitehead in LOVING, and Edwina Walsh Cabot on AS THE WORLD TURNS.  She passed away in 2009 at age 79.
