Bill Rafferty Dead at 68

Comedian and game show host Bill Rafferty has passed away at the age of 68.

His family posted on the following on his Facebook page on Saturday: "I'm sorry to say our father Bill Rafferty passed away this morning. He was surrounded by his family. All of you gave him great joy during his final months. He loved talking to all of you. (even the Liberals ;) ) Love the Raffertys."

Rafferty was born in Queens, New York. His first national exposure came as a roving reporter on the NBC series REAL PEOPLE which ran from 1979-1984.

Rafferty hosted CARD SHARKS, BLOCKBUSTERS, and the short-lived game show EVERY SECOND COUNTS. He was a frequent celebrity panelist on shows such as SUPER PASSWORD and the MATCH GAME-HOLLYWOOD SQUARES HOUR.

On July 14, 1981, Rafferty made a guest appearance in TEXAS interacting with Roy and Bobbie Sue (Karen Looze).

Most recently he was seen as the host of RLTV's RETIRED AND WIRED.
