Sunday Night Ratings: BREAKING BAD & LONGMIRE Reach Series Highs

The Sunday night Nielsen ratings are in with BREAKING BAD and LONGMIRE achieving new series highs. Check out the ratings reports for July 15, 2012 below:

From AMC Network:
Last night’s season five debut of AMC’s BREAKING BAD was the most watched episode in the history of the series. From 10 p.m. – 11 p.m., the network earned a 2.2 HH rating delivering 2.9 million viewers.

This marks an increase of +22%/ +14% respectively. Even more impressive is the exceptional growth among the coveted 18-49 demo, which saw a +34% increase versus last season’s premiere. Among the Adults 25-54 demo, BREAKING BAD delivered 1.8 million marking an increase of +28%. For the night, BREAKING BAD's season 5 premiere attracted 3.5 million viewers with the 10:00 pm EST premiere and the 11:30pm EST encore. In August, AMC announced the final 16 episodes to conclude the series. BREAKING BAD airs on AMC Sunday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

A&E’s new original scripted drama series LONGMIRE (starring former AS THE WORLD TURNS actor Bailey Chase) was watched by a record 4.5 million total viewers on Sunday, July 15 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. This marked the most-watched premiere episode for the freshman series in its seventh week, against increased competition in the scripted landscape. LONGMIRE grew by 10% over the previous week’s 4.1 million viewers.

The seventh episode of season three of THE GLADES at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT was watched by a season best 3.4 million viewers, up 6% from 3.2 million last week.

New episodes of THE GLADES and LONGMIRE air every Sunday on A&E at 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, respectively.
