New GENERAL HOSPITAL Opening: Watch and Tell Us What You Think!


GENERAL HOSPITAL debuted a new opening on Friday. Executive Producer Frank Valentini tweeted a message to fans after it aired: "Hope you love the new open! You'll see the rotation on Monday's ‪#GH‬."

    Er... Will take some getting used to, I guess. Maybe the rotation on Monday will be different? Better?

    I liked it wish they would use the whole cast in the opening?Its about time the show has never been better tune in!!!!

    I don't love it. Why are they resorting to cheap computer animation tricks? Looks like the opening for To Catch a Predator or Nightline or something. Is this romance and adventure, or a Spiderman video game?

    I expected more so I'm kind of disappointed. I rather wished they would have kept the current opening and just done an update.

    Some of these cast pictures are several years old which is kind of sad. And the groups don't make much sense.

    But in the end, I guess we have to take what we get. If the stories are good who cares about the opening!? ;)

    It looks more modern that the previous one which is definite plus. I wish they had taken pictures specifically for the opening instead of using old stock photos. That would cast $$ though so I understand. It may have been better without the pictures altogether. I actually prefer openings without the cast sometimes because the pictures can get outdated so fast. The pictures are really my only complaint though.

    I hope by April, it will be better and represent the History. DAYS has had it's opening since 1993 and still carries the voice of Macdonald Carey.

    If GH represented the legacy of Steve Hardy then that would help during its 50th year. I also am disappointed that they got rid of the Jack Urbont theme that has been used in different arrangements since the 70's. I am glad they got rid of the Nightshift theme (which painfully reminds me of Robin on a daily basis)
