On Monday Fox Entertainment topper Kevin Reilly revealed that part of GLEE's fourth season will revolve around a handful of graduating seniors and be set at a performing arts school in New York.The series will continue to be set at McKinley High in Ohio and feature a slate of new characters to be announced in the coming weeks.
The news comes months after Reilly formally announced that GLEE's planned New York-set spinoff would not come to pass. The show-within-a-show format had been widely speculated and likely will feature returning cast members Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith, whose characters have all been headed down that path with Kurt and Rachel auditioning for NYADA and Finn wanting to go to the Actor's Studio.
