George Murdock Jr., a longtime character actor, died April 30 in Los Angeles at age 81.
Throughout a career that spanned more than 50 years, Murdock acted on stage and screen. He was an original member of the Melrose Theater and performed in many plays with the troupe.
He made his television debut in 1961 in the series SHANNON and went on to play more than 200 characters. His guest appearances included DYNASTY, DAYS OF OUR LIVES, and TORCHWOOD: MIRACLE DAY.
He also played God in the fifth installment of the Star Trek movie series, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.
