Monday Night Ratings: SMASH Steady, SCANDAL Repeat Performs Well

The Monday night Nielsen ratings are coming in with new scripted episodes on the broadcast networks competing with THE VOICE and DANCING WITH THE STARS. Below is a roundup of April 9 ratings reports we have so far.

From ABC:
Gaining additional sampling after its series debut telecast this past Thursday, ABC's repeat SCANDAL topped NBC's first run SMASH by 12% (6.7 million vs. 6.0 million) to finish as the 2nd-most-watched TV show in the 10 o'clock hour to CBS original HAWAII FIVE-0.

On The CW, Gossip Girl earned a 0.5 rating among adults 18-49, while Hart of Dixie pulled a 0.4.

SMASH was steady with a 2.1 in the demo, giving NBC a nightly average of 3.3 rating with adults 18-49 and 8.9 million viewers.

From Media Life:
At 8 p.m. Univision was fifth among broadcast networks with a 1.5 adults 18-49 demo for UNA FAMILIA CON SUERTO. The CW and Telemundo tied for sixth at 0.5, CW for GOSSIP GIRL and Telemundo for UNA MAID EN MANHATTAN.

At 9 p.m. Univision fifth with a 1.5 for ABISMO DE PASION and CW and Telemundo tied for sixth at 0.5, CW for HART OF DIXIE and Telemundo for CORAZON VALIENTE.

CBS moved to first at 10 p.m. with a 2.6 for HAWAII FIVE-0 with NBC second with a 2.1 for SMASH. Univision was third with a 1.4 for LA QUE NO PODIA AMAR, ABC fourth with a 1.3 for a SCANDAL rerun and Telemundo fifth with a 0.4 for RELACIONES PELIGROSAS.

ABC finished first for the night among households with an 8.5 average overnight rating and a 13 share. CBS was second at 6.0/9, NBC third at 5.4/8, Fox fourth at 4.3/7, Univision fifth at 1.9/3, CW sixth at 0.8/1 and Telemundo seventh at 0.7/1.
