Tuesday Night Ratings: GLEE, PRIVATE PRACTICE Up, Bad Start For THE L.A. COMPLEX

The Tuesday overnight Nielsen ratings are in. Below is a roundup of April 24 ratings reports we have so far.

From THR.com:
A boosted GLEE gave Fox a win among adults 18-49 on Tuesday night. The series' musical to tribute to Whitney Houston rose three tenths of a point for a 2.7 rating in the demo.

On the CW, THE L.A. COMPLEX was off to a very slow start, losing steam from RINGER's already soft showing in the 9 p.m. slot. The Canadian-produced drama netted just a 0.3 rating among adults 18-49, losing half of 90210's 0.6-rated lead.

From Hitfix:
Among adults 18-49, FOX averaged a 2.4 rating, edging out NBC's 2.3 rating in the key demographic. ABC was third with a 2.0 key demo rating, which topped CBS' 1.7 rating. The CW averaged a 0.5 rating for the night.

From ABC:

In the 10 o'clock hour, ABC's PRIVATE PRACTICE posted a strong first-place finish with Total Viewers (8.4 million), Adults 18-49 (2.2/6) and Adults 25-54 (3.1/8).  Retaining an impressive 92% of its Adult 18-49 lead-in,  PRIVATE PRACTICE  scored season-best retention for ABC in the hour coming out of a "DWTS Results Show."

* Jumping over its week-ago premiere in the hour with Total Viewers (+29%), Adults 18-49 (+29%) and Adults 25-54 (+35%), ABC's  PRIVATE PRACTICE  produced its most-watched telecast in more than 1-1/2 years - since 11/4/10.  In addition, the ABC drama posted its best results since February with key Adults (AD18-49/AD25-54) - since 2/16/12.
