Monday Night Ratings: SMASH Up, GOSSIP GIRL, HART OF DIXIE Down Slightly

The Monday night Nielsen ratings are in new scripted episodes on the broadcast networks competing with THE VOICE and DANCING WITH THE STARS. Below is a roundup of April 23 ratings reports we have so far.

From TVLine:
The CW’s combo of GOSSIP GIRL and HART OF DIXIE both averaged just over 1 million viewers and a 0.5 demo, down slightly from last week.

SMASH rose 3 percent in viewers (6.1 mil) and 11 percent in the demo (2.1).

SMASH did post an 11 percent increase, to a 2.1 rating from the 1.9 it sank to last week. But the signs were still not all good for the Broadway-based show. It dropped at the 10:30 half hour from a 2.2 to a 1.9, and it did not face the A-level drama competition it will encounter in weeks to come.
