Mark Dobies on the cover of Men's Health |
In 2004, Mark took on the role of Bruce Niles, a gay bank VP, in Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart on Broadway. He says that being a member of the cast was an intense experience, as the revival of the landmark play, detailing the AIDS crisis in the early eighties, was as gruelling as it was rewarding. "We had to deal with death every night for three hours. It was however, one of the greatest learning experiences of my life," he says.
We Love Soaps is proud to announce that Mark is now scheduled to appear once again this year at Love Out Loud VII on May 16, 2012. Love Out Loud is an annual event sponsored by We Love Soaps and Poz magazine. It's an AIDS Walk NY fundraiser: the hosts, the sponsors, and (this is truly wonderful) the celebrities are all donating their time to the cause! All of the money raised goes directly to the AIDS Walk.

Sounds like a great play. I wish I lived in the NYC area to see it.
ReplyDeleteI met Mark at a fun OLTL meet-&-greet in Chicago this past January. He's not only very talented, physically fit & extremely cute (he's 53--wow! :-)), he's also very articulate, super-witty, & very sweet natured. What A Super-Nice Guy He Is!
ReplyDeleteBrian :-)
Mark's a great guy and a loyal supporter of Love Out Loud! Looking forward to seeing him on Wednesday.
