PREVIEW: CW's Monday Night Soaps GOSSIP GIRL & HART OF DIXIE

The CW is all new on Monday, April 9, with the return of HART OF DIXIE. But kicking off the night is GOSSIP GIRL at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

In "It Girl, Interrupted," Serena (Blake Lively) decides she is ready to relinquish the spotlight and sets out to make a reluctant Lola (guest star Ella Rae Peck) the next "It Girl" of the Upper East Side, starting with modeling at a Kiki de Montparnasse lingerie show.

Meanwhile, Chuck (Ed Westwick) reaches out to Blair (Leighton Meester) for advice about his past, and Diana Payne's (Hurley) return to The Spectator starts a power struggle with Nate (Chace Crawford).

Penn Badgley, Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle also star. ONE LIFE TO LIVE's David A. Gregory guest stars. Omar Madha directed the episode written by co-executive producer Amanda Lasher.

HART OF DIXIE follows at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

In "Heart to Hart," Zoe (Bilson) has conflicted feelings about seeing her estranged father, world-renowned surgeon Ethan Hart (Cole), who has agreed to travel to Bluebell to perform surgery on George's (Scott Porter) father (guest star Eric Pierpoint) as a favor to Zoe. Fearful of losing George, Lemon (Jaime King) decides she must befriend Zoe in order to prevent her from telling George about Lemon's affair with Lavon (Cress Williams).

Meanwhile, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Rammer Jammer, the owner (guest star John Marshall Jones) hosts a signature cocktail contest between Wade (Wilson Bethel) and Shelley (guest star Deborah S. Craig).



Series regular Tim Matheson directed the episode written by Rina Mimoun.
