Former GUIDING LIGHT and current WHITE COLLAR star Matt Bomer was given the New Generation Arts and Activism Award from the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards on Saturday. DYNASTY's Diahann Carroll presented the award.
In his acceptance speech, Bomer sweetly thanked his partner Simon Halls, and their three kids.
"And I'd really especially like to thank my beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry. Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment."
For 17 years the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards Gala has raised millions of dollars for direct client services at Desert AIDS Project.
In April, Bomer will be appearing on GLEE playing the brother of Blaine (Darren Criss). Rumor has it they will be singing a Duran Duran song.
Bomer recently channeled Elvis Presley in a hot new photo shoot with GQ Italia.
He told the magazine there's an actor he would like to portray in a film. "I would love to do a Montgomery Clift biopic. I would love to just keep working with really great directors who really inspire me."
