2011 International Emmys: Portugal's LACOS DE SANGUE Named Best Telenovela

The 2011 International Emmys were held tonight at the Sofitel in New York. The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences was founded in 1969 to promote excellence in international television programming and is the organization that presents the International Emmy Award to the best television programs produced, and initially aired, outside the U.S.

Four shows were vying for the best telenovela Emmy (see below) and the Emmy went to LACOS DE SANGUE (Blood Ties). The show ran for 322 episodes on SIC ending in October 2011.
