THE CIRCLE is the latest Shonda Rhimes show to be sold this season. The ABC Studios-produced project is described as part soap, part conspiracy thriller that follows ten friends, adopted as children by a billionaire philanthropist, who begin to question their past when one of their own is murdered.
Richard Robbins will write and executive produce the project, while Rhimes and her producing partner Betsy Beers serve as non-writing executive producers.
Despite their lack of interest in daytime soaps, ABC can't seem to get enough of them in primetime, including this year's sensation REVENGE.
