In the preliminary overnight ratings, ABC's newest soap REVENGE, which was excellent by the way, debuted with over 11 million viewers on Wednesday night and a 3.4 in the Adults 18-49 demo. The show lost the total viewer timeslot battle to CSI but was top dog at 10 p.m. in the demo. (FYI For Network Execs: Soaps are NOT dead.)The new ABC drama also led its time period with Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54 and across all key Women demos (W18-34/W18-49/W25-54).
The fabulous MODERN FAMILY was the most-watched show of the night (14.29 million) and was up 18% versus last fall's debut. It also beat Simon Cowell's X FACTOR premiere. Shemar Moore's CRIMINAL MINDS debuted with a 4.1 adults 18-49 rating.
Great that it did well, Shows have not done well on Wed at 10p. Look what happened to DSM and Eastwick.
