Sarah Brown Joins DAYS OF OUR LIVES

Soap Opera Digest just tweeted that Emmy winner Sarah Brown will be joining the cast of DAYS OF OUR LIVES in a new role.

Brown is best known for her roles as Carly (and Claudia) on GENERAL HOSPITAL. Most recently she played Aggie on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL.

EW.com is reporting that Brown will play Madison James, a powerful CEO who takes on Sami (Alison Sweeney) as a protege. She also sets her sights on Brady (Eric Martsolf) and goes head-to-head with Kate (Lauren Koslow).

She’ll show up in September.

“DAYS OF OUR LIVES is one of television’s historic gems,” Brown said in a statement. ”I’m excited to join such a talented cast to portray such a strong yet feminine character that will inspire our female viewers.”

  1. I agree with Damon-- anyone but Taylor! Will hopefully be a family member we care about.

  2. I'm happy for Sarah Brown. Hopefully, she gets a more high profile, better integrated character than she did on B&B.

In retrospect, I still don't see why Natalia Livingston was let go. Also, don't understand the firing of Tamara Brown. Limited resources and all.

With all of the returning and new faces about to appear on Days, I wonder what kind of story will integrate them all.

  3. Don't care! Come 9/22 that will be the last episode of Days that I watch as it is Crystal Chappell's last show.

  4. When you consider that lately Sarah Brown has NOT been a success on any show she's been on, why does DAYS bring on this has-been? She might be enough to make the both of us stop watching...I thought DAYS was going back to its core families and trimming the cast of non-essential characters in the process, and the idea of Sammi being any powerful CEO's protege' is ludicrous when you consider that Sammi has never held a job in her entire life!!
