BREAKING NEWS: Kyle Lowder Signs On For DEVANITY Season 2 Arc

DEVANITY, which finished on top of the We Love Soaps TV Indie Soap of the Week Poll for its entire first season run, has added another big name to its second season cast.  The show, which is a 2011 ITVfest nominee for Best Drama, has revealed that Kyle Lowder has signed on to play a villainous 3-episode arc in the demented DeVanity world filled with backbiting, in-fighting, deceit and…high end jewelry design.

Lowder began his run in daytime television in 2000 as Brady Black in NBC’s DAYS OF OUR LIVES.  Lowder remained in this role until 2005 and earned both a Daytime Emmy nomination and Soap Opera Digest Award along the way. From 2007 until January of this year, Lowder starred as Rick Forrester in the CBS Daytime drama, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL. Also a professional singer, Lowder has since released his self-titled CD, which debuted at #3 on iTunes in the Classical Crossover category.

DEVANITY creator Michael Caruso (who also plays Jason DeVanity) says, “Kyle and I actually went to college together along with Mike Dirksen (Alex Roth) and Erin Buckley (Jackie DeVanity), so it feels like a reunion of old friends more than anything else. I am thrilled and honored that he has agreed to be a part of DEVANITY, and I know he’s going to make an incredible addition to the cast.” Lowder will play power hungry villain Andrew Regis on the show.
