Catholics in Media Associates Honors BOLD & BEAUTIFUL

The feature film Conviction, the CBS-TV series BLUE BLOODS and the CBS daytime drama THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL were honored by Catholics in Media Associates (CIMA) at its 18th annual Mass and Awards Brunch Feb. 20 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Conviction received the CIMA Film Award; BLUE BLOODS received the CIMA Television Award; and THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL received the CIMA Humanitarian Award for an ongoing storyline about the homeless population of Los Angeles.

Jesuit Father J-Glenn Murray presided at a Mass preceding the brunch and awards ceremony. The CIMA Awards were created in 1992 by former DGA president Jack Shea and other prominent Catholics in the entertainment industry. Their purpose is "To promote and applaud individuals, films and TV programs that uplift the spirit and help us better understand what it is to be part of the human family."
