ATAS to Celebrate 45 Years of DAYS OF OUR LIVES

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences is recognizing the 45th anniversary of DAYS OF OUR LIVES by hosting a panel and celebration this Tuesday, September 28, 2010. The panel will feature various members of the cast and crew who have had an impact on DAYS and its success. Details are below including an opportunity for fans to attend and watch the live stream.

WHAT: The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and DAYS OF OUR LIVES presents “Celebrating 45 Years of DAYS OF OUR LIVES.” Moderated by Detroit’s own Local 4 WDIV-TV NBC Affiliate, Jon Jordan, the evening will highlight the show with six panels featuring talent, producers, and executives who have been a part of the drama for the past forty-five years. These panels will touch upon subjects such as character discussions, growing up in Salem/on set, and the business side of the show.

“Celebrating 45 Years of DAYS OF OUR LIVES” will stream LIVE on the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences website, www.emmys.com. Fans will have the opportunity to watch the panels as they happen! The first 200 fans to arrive will get to come close to red carpet, the first 100 will get a goodie-bag and one lucky fan will get picked from the crowd to go inside!

Also making its first public appearance will be behind-the-scenes photos from the brand new archive book "DAYS OF OUR LIVES 45 Years A Celebration In Photos." The book and photos will be featured in an exhibit in the main lobby of the Leonard H. Goldenson Theater as guests enter for the evening. The book itself will debut in the beginning of November followed shortly by a fiction series of books called "Salem’s Secrets, Scandals, and Lies."
