NEWS: Billy Warlock to OLTL, Trent Dawson, Duplaix

Billy Warlock coming to ONE LIFE TO LIVE
Soap Opera Digest is reporting that soap vet Billy Warlock (ex-Frankie, DAYS; ex-AJ, GH) has been cast at OLTL as Ross, replacing Michael Lowry, who last played the role in January. Warlock began taping yesterday, July 19, shortly after OLTL learned that Lowry would not be able to reprise the role as planned.

The REVIVAL cast features Trent Dawson, David Darrow, Raymond McAnally and AiDan Sullivan. Opening Night is Tuesday, September 14 at 7 p.m..

Daphanee Duplaix cast in "All-American Girls" at the Actors Temple Theatre
The play tells a tale racism, deceit and betrayal after the coach of an all-Negro female baseball team goes missing in 1945 Chicago. The cast will also include Setor Attipoe, Yasha Jackson, Ashley Jeffrey, Arlene McGruder, Chantal Nchako, Catherine Peoples, and Antoinette Robertson.

HUM LOG To Return On Doordarshan As HUM
Indian television’s first soap opera HUM LOG, which was aired in 1984 on Doordarshan, is coming back again on the national channel with a new title.

Ashes of CORONATION STREET cat up for auction
The ashes of the cat which appeared in the opening credits of CORRIE for 11 years will be auctioned on Thursday. Frisky's remains will be auctioned at between 100 and 150 pounds, according to Dominic Winter auctioneers.

ABC Studios drama head steps down
Josh Barry is stepping down as head of drama at ABC Studios, where he'll be replaced by former 20th Century Fox executive Patrick Moran. Barry started at Touchstone a decade ago and helped develop DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES and LOST.

Tuesday Talent: Matt Cameron (eating alone)
The composer of the original "We Love Soaps Radio" theme song talks about his new album, 'the lnog haul,' which goes on sale on Wednesday: "The album is 100% autobiographical. Some of the songs have a sort of fantasy element where I'm imagining scenarios or outcomes that didn't happen -- and it's clear they're like daydreams, but the scenarios are just vehicles for how I express my emotion."
