ABC Family’s hit series THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER returns with all-new episodes beginning Monday night (8:00 – 9:00 PM ET/PT). The network will air a special SECRET LIFE marathon (nine episodes) leading up to the premiere from 11:00 AM ET/PT – 8:00 PM ET/PT.In the season opener, "Do Over," Adrian tells Ben that she’s not pregnant, much to his relief, but he questions whether she’s telling the truth. Unbeknownst to Anne, George takes Ashley to the doctor to discuss birth control options. Jack’s parents are moving out of town for a new job and give him the option to stay with a friend while he finishes school. Amy is confused about why Ben is avoiding her after he professed his love to her, and Ricky takes an interest in Ashley.
The series cast includes Shailene Woodley, Ken Baumann, Mark Derwin, India Eisley, Greg Finley, Daren Kagasoff, Megan Park, Francia Raisa with Steve Schirripa and Molly Ringwald. Kathy Kinney, Phillip Anthony-Rodriguez, Renee Olstead, Camille Winbush, Allen Evangelista, Amy Rider, Tom Virtue and Luke Zimmerman also guest star. Special guest stars include Jennifer Coolidge and Josie Bissett. Created and executive produced by Brenda Hampton ("7th Heaven").
"THE SECRET DIARY OF ASHLEY JUERGENS," published by Hyperion Books, will be released on June 15, 2010. The book is "written by" the precocious and perceptive Ashley Juergens as an ongoing assignment from her middle school principal to express herself in an 'appropriate’ manner. THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER Volume 4 will also be released on DVD June 15, by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.
