COMMENTS FROM THE PANEL:
Nelson Aspen: After 35 yrs, Larry and Stu were nearly indistunguishable to those of us who worked on SFT...although Larry was not quite as G rated! Lovable, warm, reassuring....qualities they both had. His capacity for friendship was never more evident than when he played scenes with his buddy, Jo (Mary Stuart)...daytime's greatest platonic relationship.

Connie Passalacqua Hayman (Marlena De Lacroix): A great serious Broadway character actor whose Stu Bergman was the sweet, emotional heart of Henderson on Search for Tomorrow for decades. So many of the great ones have passed on.

Roger Newcomb: The friendship of Stu and Jo is one of the great relationships in soap opera history. Aside from his historic SEARCH run, I really loved Haines when he appeared as Sidney on ANOTHER WORLD in 1989. He was so cute with Ada (Constance Ford). I'm not sure why they didn't develop that relationship more.

COMMENTS FROM CO-STARS/CO-WORKERS/INDUSTRY:
Patsy Pease: (worked with Haines on SEARCH FOR TOMORROW) Truly one of life's "funny men". Larry taught me the art of the "double take". Naturally a comedian, however Larry's "old school" acting chops could bring tears to even the coldest of sets. I miss you funny guy.
