Stefan Dennis was playing the dastardly Paul Robinson when NEIGHBOURS launched on Channel 7 on March 18, 1985, and was there months later when Seven axed the show because the network felt it lacked broad appeal.
Dennis reprised his role when the show was resurrected by Channel 10 in 1986. He stayed until 1993 and after a break of 11 years, returned to Ramsay St in 2004. He spoke with the Herald Sun about the anniversary.

"Who would have thought that more than 25 years ago, when Grundy Television and Reg Watson came up with yet another soap about average Australians, that it not only would outlast all other shows, but change the course of drama-serial television and all who have worked on or in it," Dennis reflects.
