NEWS: Bane, Bierdz, Derwin, Eakes, Who Killed Archie?

INTERVIEW: SECRET LIFE's Mark Derwin (George)
On winning the Soap Opera Digest Award for Hottest Male Star: "At the time I was working with my girlfriend on GUIDING LIGHT and she was up for the same award for women and she didn't win. We were sitting there and I was thinking, 'fuck, I better not win.' I remember thinking I did not have a chance in hell because I was up against Antonio Sabato, Jr. and he was such a smoothie…I kept making jokes the whole time about the idea that I'd even be nominated for something like that. We were thrilled because being nominated meant free tickets to LA and we were just going to have fun. I'm sitting there after she didn't win thinking, "don't let me win, don't let me win". When they said my name I literally said, "oh shit." It worked out fine and you just laugh about it. I've seen actors go up for those Soap Digest Awards and act like they just won an Oscar. You know, 'my first acting award came in high school' and you're just like, 'Dude, please.'"
