ABC Soaps in depth is reporting the former ONE LIFE TO LIVE actress (ex-Jessica) and husband Hamilton von Watts expect their first child to arrive in the first week of June.

Ireland’s first online soap opera debuts Monday
Ireland's first online soap opera, set in Westport, Co. Mayo, debuts next Monday January 11, at 9pm on www.tvwestport.com. COVIES, shot in High Definition with a cast of over 60 actors over 40 locations in the county, is a unique collaboration between film maker Len Collin, the Westport Chamber of Commerce, and Westport Urban District Council. Each of the eight episodes in season one is 15 minutes long and the entire season was shot on a shoestring budget of €24,000.

UK: Soap opera filming disrupted by freeze
Filming schedules on soap operas CORONATION STREET and EMMERDALE have been disrupted by the wintry weather. A spokesman for the Manchester serial said it was the first time in recent years filming has been halted as snow covered the famous city centre set.

Twin child actors' birthday benefits hospital
When child actors Rory and Declan McTigue (Little Adam, AMC) of Chester celebrated their sixth birthday on Oct. 3, they decided to do something more meaningful this year than simply have a birthday party with friends and family. The twin brothers chose to forgo any birthday presents and instead asked their friends and family to make donations to Blythedale Children's Hospital in Valhalla.

Discovery and ESPN each plan to launch 3-D channels
Discovery is teaming with Imax and Sony for a 24-hour 3-D TV channel, while ESPN 3D covering only live sporting events will debut on June 11.
