News Round-up: Chappell, Beradino, Merna, Ryan

Timing was perfect for Crystal Chappell's move to DAYS OF OUR LIVES
"Working with Peter was always great and easy and fun," says Chappell. "And Louise and I stayed in touch over the years. Carly and Vivian was one of those really great adversarial relationships. You know they're not going to be friends. They're still going to go after each other. With GUIDING LIGHT ending, Michael and I were already packing up to go back to California with our boys. The second baseman eventually turned to acting and became known as Dr. Steve Hardy on GENERAL HOSPITAL, successfully transitioning from a season devoid of drama to television daytime drama. The Browns finished 43-111 that season. The team eventually moved to Baltimore in 1954.

JJ and the Rehabilitation of GENERAL HOSPIAL

The Hispanic Market Is Set to Soar
Hispanic Americans continue to grow in number at a rate four times that of the general population. Agencies that market to this segment are finding themselves in a strong position, armed with the skills and techniques to take on general assignments from big-name clients. Meanwhile, in a tight business environment, general agencies are starting to compete for work previously reserved for specialist shops.

HOLLYOAKS' Merna: 'My co-stars will be bridesmaids'
HOLLYOAKS actress Gemma Merna has asked her co-stars to be her bridesmaids. Merna, who plays Carmel McQueen in the soap, has been engaged to her partner Ian Minton since 2007. She explained that although they haven't set a date for the wedding yet, she would like her Hollyoaks colleagues to be involved.

"The whole cast are really, really close but obviously [I'm closest to] Jennifer Metcalfe, Nicole Barber-Lane and Claire Cooper," she told Now. "They're all going to be bridesmaids at my wedding."

Meg Ryan Selling Her Bel-air Home
Ryan has put her house back up for sale at $14.2 million, a 27 percent price reduction from what she was asking in 2008.
