CLASSIC CLIP: The Music of Gloria Loring on DAYS

I miss the days of Gloria Loring singing as Liz Chandler Curtis on DAYS OF OUR LIVES. She would sing and I'm telling you I am almost certain she was singing to me! With everyone returning to the show, isn't it time for Liz to return to Salem and spread some musical love to the residents of Salem? In the meantime, take a look back as Gloria Loring's Liz sings some of her best love songs.

  1. I loved these clips, Michael. Gloria Loring has a beautiful voice and they should bring her back. It was nice to see Neil Curtis and was that Don Craig in the first clip? Now if you could only find clips of Doug Williams and Robert Clary in the vault. I loved Doug's Place. Julie and Doug were the first super couple!

  2. You are welcome Laura. Those were such magical times. And yes, that was Jed Allen as Don Craig. Maybe he should come back too! :)

  3. I loved Jed Allen's voice. He was also good on Port Charles as God's chief angel. Miscast as Edward Quartermaine on GH, too young. The actor who played his son Alan Quartermaine was only a year younger in RL. Have a great time in Chicago, Michael.

  4. Yeah, Jed Allen on GH was a huge miscast. Even though he was great as Don, he was my favorite as CC Capwell. Such a great Patriarch and his relationship with his son Mason (Lane Davies) was so well written.

I am from Chicago Laura, but Damon is actually there this weekend. I miss being there, although New York is home :)

  5. Home is where the heart is, Michael. I live in New Jersey, but New York is where I grew up, married and started a family. Maybe you can't go home again, except to visit, but it always stays in your heart.

  6. My favorite (and most tear-worthy) song was when Liz sang "Here, There and Everywhere" when her brother died. *Sniff Sniff*
