NY Post's Michael Star on Otalia

Hulu Questions Count of Its Audience
Executives at Hulu think Nielsen is undercounting the number of people who visit the Web video site, the New York Times reports. While Nielsen says Hulu had 8.9 million visitors in March, comScore puts the figure at 42 million, the paper says. The difference has huge implications for Hulu's advertising revenue.

Baseball's Jim Rice on finding out he was in the Hall of Fame
"The only reason that I was at home was because it was honey day," Rice said Friday. "My wife wanted me to do something." In actuality, Rice sat engrossed in his soap opera when The Call came.

"You're in," president Jeff Idelson said. "Thank you," Rice responded.

That's it. No big celebration. No rushing to call family and friends.

"I sat there and watched my soap opera another 15 minutes," Rice said. He couldn't wait to see how THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS turned out that day.

ABC picks up COUGAR and CASTLE
The network gave nods on Friday to new drama HAPPY TOWN and the Courteney Cox and Carolyn Hennesy-starring comedy COUGAR TOWN, both from ABC Studios. Additionally, midseason drama CASTLE, starring Nathan Fillion, was renewed for a second season.

NEIGHBOURS follows HOME AND AWAY with its own lesbian plot
Thanks to the controversy - and publicity - HOME AND AWAY garnered with the lesbian storyline between policewoman Charlie Buckton (Esther Anderson) and fisherwoman Joey Collins (Kate Bell), Channel 10's soap NEIGHBOURS is preparing to do the same. Later this month Donna (Margot Robbie) and Sunny (Hany Lee Choi) share what producers bill as an "impulse kiss" after a love letter scandal is exposed.

  1. Carolyn Hennesy is not staring in Cougar Town. She says in the SOD that she has a recurring role. She's not a regular. Her sticking around for more episodes on a recurring basis depends on if they like her. She may just be in the pilot and that is it.
