News Round-up: Murray/Burton, Tammin Sursok, A&E

Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton, whose characters tied the knot in last night's penultimate episode of ONE TREE HILL, will not be returning for the show's seventh season next fall. The CW is expected to formally announce their departures next Thursday at its upfront presentation.

“I am going to raise my children in Australia,” she says. “I am going to work hard and bring home the bacon and have my six kids in Australia. I want a brood. I want them to be in rugby teams. In five years’ time I would like to be on the trajectory of my film and TV career and would probably like to have my first child at 30.”

"I'm still working on [TRUE BLOOD], and it's going really, really well. I'm loving every minute of it. There have been a couple of days where I work all night, and I drive straight to the set of B&B, and they're like, 'Oh, well, we'll just touch you up,' and I can't even take my makeup off!"

A&E reveals development slate
A&E is continuing its scripted push this year, developing eight original dramas, mostly crime procedurals. The projects include pilots from Jerry Bruckheimer, Shawn Ryan and Lynda Obst, as well as a Western miniseries from Kevin Costner. The cable network also renewed nine of its unscripted series and is launching seven new unscripted series.
