Real-life couple Rob Bogue and Mandy Bruno from GUIDING LIGHT appeared on the second hour of THE EARLY SHOW this morning. They talked about falling in love, keeping to to themselves the first six months and then having their characters (Mallet and Marina) also fall in love on the show. Bogue sent her on a scavenger hunt around their neighborhood before finally proposing at their favorite local wine bar.
They are tentatively planning on getting married the first week of August next summer.
The EARLY SHOW hosts talked about the cancellation by CBS and Bogue talked a bit about the stages of grief people are going through and how the characters feel like extended family to some fans. One of the hosts mentioned his grandmother had been tuning in since the radio days.
There was no talk about the show possibly airing elsewhere. I suppose that is not a subject CBS would want to discuss.
What was the point of this interview?? They are playing one of the most boring, unpopular couple on GL. And frankly who cares when they'll get married.
