Of course, the hosts treat it with the disrespect it's gotten from CBS all along - and the disrespect it got on Wednesday when CBS gave it the ol' middle finger and kicked it down the stairwell.
I was thinking the exact same thing that "The" said; where's the respect the show deserves from Harry Smith, Julie Chen, and the other dingbat on the couch? Instead, they make fun of the reporter and the genre itself. Perhaps the reporter's own clip might have been better received if they had set it up a bit better.
Eh, CBS doesn't give a rat's butt about "Guiding Light." If they did, they would've tried harder to make P&G improve the show long ago and they never would've canceled it.
And for what it's worth, the Early Show is always in 3rd place against the morning shows of NBC and ABC. Think CBS will cancel that low-rated show, too? Those three talking heads wouldn't be laughing for long if that happened, would they?
