Dailymotion, Hulu Ink Distribution Deal

French TV viewers will now be able to catch more of their favorite shows online legally thanks to a distribution agreement between the country's largest video-sharing Web site, Dailymotion, and U.S. online video giant Hulu, the companies said Monday.

Dailymotion's audiences will now have access to more than 40,000 additional videos from Hulu's library including full-length TV episodes, feature films and content from more than 130 providers.

Dailymotion users also will be able to program Hulu content into their own personal channels and playlists.

The deal marks a reversal of sorts for Hulu, which last month pulled back select TV shows and other programming from third-party sites, including TV.com and Boxee.com, citing license restrictions from content holders.
