B&B's Brad Bell On The Future of Daytime

In an interview in the March 24 issue of Soap Opera Digest, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL executive producer Brad Bell talked about the future of daytime.

It's all about streamlining and keeping our costs in check. I think it's going back to the very genesis of what soaps are all about: Low-cost, highly addictive drama. If we can go back where we came from, we're going to be just fine. It's going to be painful because salaries and production costs will have to be cut back, but we're going to do what we have to do to survive and we will survive.
