Balthazar Getty will return to BROTHERS & SISTERS after a "shocking exit"
An E! report that Getty will depart for the season with a "shocking exit" in Episode 19 is untrue, says a "Brothers & Sisters" producer. In fact, Getty will leave the show in Episode 19 but he'll return before the season's over. "Balthazar is taking time off from the show right now because we felt that character was really on a downward spiral and you see him really go on it," says co-show runner Alison Schapker. "In almost trying to be his dad, he's destroyed by it, and he has lost everything by the end of the year."

DAYS' Ken Corday on Nichols/Evans exit
Corday explains that "there is only so much airtime". He says that if the show were "cash richer", they would have kept Nichols and Evans, but "if you keep people with that much history, regardless of how much they make, they should be in story." Corday explains that because of the financial restrictions on the show, only so many people can have story, so he had "some hard choices to make".

"The only locks are the core Taylors (Kyle Chandler, Connie Britton, Aimee Teegarden) and incoming senior Landry (Jesse Plemons). Beyond that, exec producer Jason Katims is keeping his options open. 'I want to wait until I get the [fourth season] pickup before I really decide,' says Katims, who cautions fans not to read too much into the events of the season 3 finale. 'Things might change in the time between the finale and where we start with season 4... The truth is, some people go off to college and then it doesn't work out. Something brings them back to town. And some people never end up leaving town.' Cuts will eventually have to be made, Katims concedes. 'It's a phenomenal cast,' he says. 'It's not easy for me to say I'm willing to let go of any of them.'"

Marsh - barmaid Michelle Connor in the soap - had just seconds with baby born Archie Jay Lomas before he passed away. CORONATION STREET star Anne Kirkbridge has hinted that she is ready to leave the ITV show after more than 34 years. The actress, who plays Deirdre Barlow, says she doesn’t want to grow old on the soap opera and is keen to focus on her other passion - painting.
