News Round-up

CONFIRMED: Seganti back on AS THE WORLD TURNS
Soap Opera Digest confirms an earlier report by TV Guide Canada that Paolo Seganti (Damian) is returning to Oakdale in mid-March. The actor was last seen in August 2006, when Damian wanted to send a gay Luke away to be "deprogrammed." Look for him to mix it up with Luke, Noah, Lily and Lucinda.

90210's AnnaLynne McCord: New co-star Matt Lanter os "the new Dylan"
AnnaLynn McCord is ecstatic about her new love interest, played by actor Matt Lanter, on the CW’s 90210. She’s even drawing comparisons to one of West Beverly High’s preeminent heartthrobs – Dylan McKay.

“They’re kind of welcoming him as the new Dylan,” AnnaLynn told ACCESS HOLLYWOOD Wednesday night at The HFPA Salute To Young Hollywood Party held at Nobu in LA.

MARK HARDING: The Template for Saving Daytime, Part 1
"Interestingly, it seems that the formula used [by Maria Arena Bell to improve THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS] was deviously simple. So simple, it has been known for several decades as "Marland's rules" or "How Not to Wreck a Show". His article was published in the April 27, 1993 issue of Soap Opera Digest, shortly after his passing."

SARA A. BIBEL: The Best DAYS Ever?
"DAYS OF OUR LIVES is, in my opinion, the most boring soap on the air right now. Backstage turmoil aside, the show is not offensively bad. It's just dull."

Moss and Lowder to appear on THE SOUP
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL's Kyle Lowder (Rick) and Ronn Moss (Ridge), whose scenes have been frequently featured on E!'s THE SOUP, will be joining host Joel McHale for the show's end of the year "Clipdown" special on Jan. 2.
