On the heels of the news that former ATWT/GL/LOVING actor Keith Pruitt had died comes word that another former daytime actor had passed away.Wayne Heffley, remembered to DAYS OF OUR LIVES fans as Vern Scofield, Jack's stepfather and mentor at The Salem Spectator, died of kidney failure on November 19.
In addition to appearances on SANTA BARBARA and DALLAS, Heffley made guest appearances on prime time shows for over four decades including PERRY MASON, GUNSMOKE and MURDER, SHE WROTE.
The actor, who had long been on dialysis, was 81.
