Y&R: Sabrina's Mom, Take Two
Cynthia Sikes has been cast as Sabrina's mother, Zara, on YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. She'll start taping May 27. Zara is set to arrive in Genoa City on June 19, in time for her daughter's wedding to Victor. Y&R had to do some quick recasting as Finola Hughes (Anna, GH) was all set to do the role, but GH asked her not to.

DAYS renewed?
"DAYS fans can breath a big sigh of relief. According to Soap Opera Digest, the 42 year old soap has been renewed by NBC."

AMC's Leven Rambin for John McCain?
Having just recently become a legal voter (and approved sexual being) when she turned 18, the soap star/socialite's thoughts have naturally turned to politics. Which candidate, after much thorough research and contemplation, has she allied with? McCain of course, because the old timer mumbled and yukked his way into her heart with his recent SNL appearance. She called him "shockingly coherent and comical" in a little blog post.

Heather Tom takes "Bold and Beautiful" step for charity
While some folks take the shirt off their backs to help those in need, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL's Heather Tom is taking it one step further. To celebrate her 12th Daytime Emmy nomination, Tom has asked PROJECT RUNWAY's Jack Mackenroth to design a one-of-a-kind gown that she'll auction off after donning it for the the kudoscast (airing June 20, on ABC). The proceeds will benefit AIDS charities. The auction, hosted by the Clothes Off Our Back Foundation, kicks off June 27, aka National HIV Testing Day.
