Former THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS star Thom Bierdz, who is a talented artist as well, painted a portrait of Heath Ledger with James Dean after being moved following Heath's death. In the painting James Dean appears crushed, but welcoming, too. Heath is beautiful, pure, and not aware he is in a new frontier. The word “ Hollywood ” can be seen in the background, backwards, and sinking. You can buy the painting on his website.

Glasgow Daily Record: Once the cornerstone of the BBC's kids output, GRANGE HILL now sits on the shelf marked "someone else's mistake" in the vaults, next to TOP OF THE POPS. In an age when teenagers are more likely to watch SKINS and HOLLYOAKS, perhaps the bell was ringing on the London comprehensive. But it's been ringing for a long time - and the show's producers didn't hear it. Instead, they moved away from the harder issues which made its name and gave the drama a softsoap edge. As Phil Redmond, the creator, said: "The point has been lost". And now, so has a classic.
