News Brief

News & Observer: Hated it! Loved it! Overhyped: "All My Children's" transgender storyline. Underrated: The Noah/Luke romance storyline on "As the World Turns."

New York Daily News: "The Bold and the Beautiful": Crossover sister act. Eileen Davidson crosses her character, Ashley Abbott, back from "The Bold and the Beautiful" to "The Young and the Restless" this week to give Jack a piece of her mind.

Boston Herald: “Guiding Light’s” Ron Raines performed at Symphony Hall with Keith Lockhart & Co. for the Boston Pops’ “Gershwin & Friends” concert.

Tulsa World: Poor Casey Hughes. In a town where you can get away with switching babies or shooting your boyfriend, it isn’t fair that Casey, of all the characters on “As the World Turns,” had to do jail time. Casey is coming home in January – but this time he’ll be played by Billy Magnussen, who recently appeared on Broadway in “The Ritz.” Magnussen debuts Jan. 29. Let’s hope Casey isn’t too jaded from prison life.

AfterEllen.com: Bianca/Eden Riegel only back for 2ish days!?!

The Celebrity Cafe: Michele Childress writes about meeting Joseph Mascolo from "Days of our Lives."

Deseret News,: Starwood Hotel guests are using reward points to party with the stars. It takes 73,500 points to attend a taping of "The Young and the Restless."

Tulsa World: The events at the Black and White Ball at Windermere played out like Agatha Christie meets “Clue.” Carly – whose portrayer, Laura Wright, has been on “General Hospital” since 2005 – was one who was tossed about, and nearly killed. While filming was hard and arduous, it still had its moments of fun.

Sunday People: Millions will tune into "Coronation Street" tomorrow to see if rocker Vernon Tomlin weds Liz McDonald in a cowboy-themed ceremony. But with her jailbird ex-husband Jim out to stop the marriage at all costs, it'll be anything but straightforward.

People: Sean Penn and wife Robin Wright Penn (the original Kelly Capwell on "Santa Barbara") are divorcing, their rep, Mara Buxbaum, confirms. No other details were immediately available. The couple, who've been married 11 years, have two children together, Hopper Jack, 14, and Dylan Frances, 16.

In The Zone: AUDIO: Interview with long-time "General Hospital" star Tristan Rogers.
