News Brief

E! Online: Thongs, secret nicknames and judge Len in his underwear. Sounds like it's time for the E! weekly chat with "Dancing with the Stars" contestant, soap star and the host of the Style Network’s Instant Beauty Pageant Cameron Mathison. "I get a little nervous every week. But I don't think I'm going to resort to thinking about Len in his underwear. I actually try not to drink a lot of caffeine before the live show on Monday nights. I just run on pure adrenaline."

Broadway World: The Guthrie has announced that Charles Keating, Emmy winning actor from "Another World", will present his one-man show, I and I: The Sense of Self. Tackling the topic of aging, the production will have a limited run in the Dowling Studio from November 27 through December 2.

South African Film News: "Egoli: Place of Gold" producers would neither confirm nor deny on Tuesday that Christina Storm, who was at one stage engaged to former Springbok rugby player James Small, would indeed play the role of the beloved Bienkie. Esta TerBlanche, who used to play Bienkie, is in Hollywood these days, after a stint on the ABC soap "All My Children". Burgert Muller, co-producer, said on Tuesday: "We can't confirm anything at this stage because we're still negotiating with Christina about such a possibility."

Windy City Media Group: For years, people have known Jai Rodriguez as one of the quintet that is featured on the TV show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Now, as the series reaches its last episode, Rodriguez talks about the show, languages and his future. "I liked being on 'All My Children' and playing a young dad. That’s always fun, having babies on soap operas and you are gay."

Magical Mountain: "The View's" new co-host Sherri Shepherd, along with other first-time attendees Melissa Claire Egan ("All My Children"), Brandon Buddy, Tika Sumpter ("One Life to Live"), Bradford Anderson, Josh Duhon and Sonya Eddy ("General Hospital"), join the star-studded lineup for the 12th annual ABC Super Soap Weekend. This year's event will take place on Nov. 10-11, 2007, as ABC once again partners with Colgate Total toothpaste (www.colgatetotal.com) as its presenting sponsor of ABC Super Soap Weekend at Disney-MGM Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Also new to this year's event will be the addition of stars from SOAPnet's original primetime drama, "General Hospital: Night Shift."
